# stig A small web UI for browsing a local Git repository. `stig` shows the commit log, commit diffs, working tree status, and file tree for the repository it is pointed at. ## Features - Commit log with commit detail pages - Parsed diff rendering for commits and working tree changes - File tree browser with inline file viewing - Server-side Git access via TanStack Start server functions ## Requirements - [Bun](https://bun.sh/) - Git ## Getting Started Install dependencies: ```sh bun install ``` Start the dev server against the current directory: ```sh bun run dev ``` Point `stig` at a different repository by setting `GITUI_REPO_PATH`: ```sh GITUI_REPO_PATH=/path/to/repo bun run dev ``` ## Build ```sh bun run build ``` ## Preview the production build ```sh bunx vite preview ``` ## Routes - `/` — commit log - `/commit/$hash` — commit detail and patch view - `/tree` — repository file tree - `/status` — staged, unstaged, and untracked changes ## Notes - The app reads Git data from the local filesystem. Make sure `GITUI_REPO_PATH` points at a valid Git repository. - Large repositories can produce large client bundles because syntax highlighting support is broad right now. ## License Released under the [0BSD](LICENSE) license.
